Appointments
Appointments are highly recommended. We want you to have the best service experience possible when you shop with us. Appointments allow our staff to plan and prepare for you and your party! If our consultants are busy with a scheduled bride then we can not help walk-ins and will have to ask that you schedule an appointment to come back. Please contact us to set up an appointment time. Typically Saturdays book up more quickly than weekdays. Make an appointment today.
First Visit
At the start of your wedding gown search, we recommend bringing 1-3 guests. Large groups tend to be overwhelming, so it helps you and us make the most of your visit when the numbers are smaller. Dress shopping should be fun! At the start of your appointment we will sit down with you and discuss your vision of your wedding gown. We will ask details about the wedding date and where the wedding is taking place. We will look at photos you may have from designers websites or Pinterest to see what your thoughts are about the shape and style of your gown. We will also talk with you about the budget you have set for your gown so that we will not show you dresses that are above that price point. Once we have an idea of what you are looking for we will pull gowns that fit with your vision. We do ask that you be open to us also pulling a gown or two that might be “outside of the box”. It is very common for a bride to end up saying yes to a dress that was something they never expected!
Gown Selection
Our inventory changes constantly but we do have links to most of our dresses on our Pinterest page. Listed on our website under Bridal Designers are the designers that we currently have in our shop with a link to the Pinterest page with gowns from that designer which we carry. Please note, we may not have every dress linked and we most certainly have some gowns that haven’t been added to the Pinterest page.
Pictures
Unfortunately, we do not allow photos to be taken until your gown is purchased. The exclusive designers we carry require this, so we must abide by their rules to continue carrying their lines. Thank you in advance for adhering to our no picture policy. When you are ready to purchase, we would be happy to assist you in taking as many pictures as you like. Until then, we have all of our designers listed on our website, with links to their specific websites, where many of the gowns may be viewed.
What size should I order?
After your gown selection has been made, measurements will be taken to determine the appropriate size to order. Keep in mind that while you may wear one size with one designer, it is common that you will wear a different size with another. Once measurements have been completed, we will review the correct size chart with you and discuss what size is recommended. However, it is the bride's (or bridesmaid's) final say as to what size is ordered. Please note that bridal gowns do run small and you will likely order a gown that is larger than what you are used to wearing. It is also important to consider the length of the gown before ordering. Many designers have a standard length that will fit someone who is 5'9". If extra length is required it must be determined before the order is placed.
Purchasing your gown:
When making your gown selection, our order policy is the same regardless of which collection/designer you choose. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of purchase which allows us to proceed with placing the order. Once your gown(s) have been ordered, they can take anywhere from 12 weeks to eight months to arrive (three to four months for bridesmaids, flower girls, and mothers). Should there be a time constraint, rushing the order may be an option. Ideally, we like to work with clients 9-12 months in advance of their wedding. This always allows for gown production, shipping, fittings, etc. stress-free. So, if you are under the year mark it is never too early to make that gown decision; after all, it sets the pace for your entire event. We offer expert in-house alterations and fitting appointments Monday-Friday. We are happy to make suggestions for companies to clean and/or press your gown after the alterations are completed.
